Jester
Polymer clay head, hand-sculpted onto
the end of an old wooden spindle.
(see spindle in the photo below)
Head is approximately 3 inches tall.
Face painted in acrylics and then
brushed with satin polyurethane to
obtain the effect of an old waxed doll.
Dressed in silks and lace.
This frog is sculpted of polymer clay then painted with acrylics.
The eyeball is a wooden bead, the size of a human eye, painted with
acrylics . . . it's a long story.
Cloth Jester
Soft sculptured head on an old wooden spindle.
The head is 7" high, needle sculpted muslin,
painted in acrylics. Dressed in velvets.
This is my first soft sculpture, circa 1985,
and he is still the mascot of my studio.
